Art of the Masters is a coordinator developed, parent delivered program providing art history and creativity to all Banyan students. Each class is assigned a volunteer Art Docent to teach students about various artists and their work, and students can create different projects based on the featured artist.

You do not need an art degree to be a docent just an interest in art and a willingness to get creative! Teachers will be present in the classrooms, and docents mainly serve as guides for the students with their artwork.  Volunteers are asked to serve 2½ hours per month and may also work with other docents to teach alternate months.  ​
