Banyan is more than a school. It’s a community. Throughout the year, the PTA hosts a variety of events and programs that bring families together to celebrate our school spirit..
From community favorites like Trunk-or-Treat, Bobcat Bingo, and the Family Dance, to educational experiences like Science Day and Earth Week, every event is designed to create meaningful connections for our students and their families.
Whether you’re joining in the fun, lending a hand, or helping spread the word, your participation makes a big difference. Every event is a chance to strengthen our school community and we can’t do it without you!

Getting an accurate head count helps us make sure we have the right amount of food, supplies, and fun for everyone!
Family Math Night - March 5 from 5:30-7pm in the MPR at Banyan - Math night is brought to us by Mathnasium of Newbury Park. Their goal is to show students and families that Math can be fun and exciting with different games and prizes. Entry is Free!
Banyan’s Got Talent! - Banyan Talent Show - March 20th at 5pm in the MPR. We’re so excited to invite our Banyan families to our Annual Talent Show! It’s sure to be a fun night to celebrate creativity, courage, and community. Come cheer on our talented performers as they sing, dance, act, and show off their unique skills! Bring the whole family, enjoy the performances, and grab a treat! Concessions will be available for sale throughout the event. 🍿🍬
Lunch With Teacher Drawing - February 20 - March 20 (Lunch on 4/16) - Starting at Family Bingo Night (2/20), students can purchase $1 raffle tickets for a chance to win Lunch with a Teacher! Winners will be contacted directly. Lunch will take place on 4/16 in the MPR.
Choose a current or previous teacher
Buy multiple tickets and place them in multiple teacher boxes for more chances to win
Ticket sales run 2/20 through the night of the Talent Show (3/20)
Final Fundraiser of the Year | Online Auction | March 17-24 -Our final fundraiser of the year is coming soon... and it’s a big one!
We will have:Beautiful class baskets (thank you to all who contributed!)

Book Fair | March 9-13 -The Book Fair is almost here! Our wonderful librarian has organized our annual Book Fair to give every student the chance to shop for the best gift of all… books! Students will be able to shop:
Friday, 3/6: After school (a special early opening to give students a chance to preview all the exciting books and goodies available for purchase!)
Monday, 3/9 – Wednesday, 3/11: During lunch & after school
Thursday, 3/12: During lunch & at Family Reading Night
Friday, 3/13: During lunch (last chance to shop!)
We can only make this Book Fair smooth and fun with your help! We need volunteers for set-up, tear-down, and helping students shop.
